Antonio Conte is searching for summer signings

Chelsea have kicked off their 2016-17 Premier League season by snatching 2 successive victories against West Ham and Watford but even with this positive start to the new season, the head coach of Chelsea, Antonio Conte is still searching around the transfer market for possible players that he could sign that can help increase the quality of his team.

Antonio Conte has not been very active during this summer transfer window with the 2 noticeable signings being N’Golo and Michy Batshuayi.

The summer transfer window is scheduled to shut down in 1 week from now and there are rumors going on claiming that Chelsea have been launching offers to a few players including Napoli’s Kalidou Koullbaly with an offer in the region of £40m being launched towards the Senegal defender.

In case that Chelsea are not able to sign Napoli’s player, they are also believed to be attempting of securing the services of Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic with a bid of €25 million being offered from the Premier League club.

One of the main departments that Antonio Conte wants to reinforce in Chelsea is his defensive section and this is why the Italian coach is so eager on signing defenders after conceding a goal against Watford.

Watford is a club that just barely managed to survive in the Premier League during the previous 2015-16 season and even though Chelsea did come out on top when facing off with Watford with a final scoreboard of 2-1, it’s a sign that Antonio Conte is in need of further upgrading his team before facing off against the big teams in the Premier League.

If Chelsea was just barely able to scrap a victory over a club that has been consistently struggling like Watford, they might struggle to claim triumphs against the bigger teams in the Premier League and this is why Antonio Conte is launching offers for potential summer signings in order to increase the quality of his team.
