UAG’s iPad Pro 12.9″ Metropolis Case Is Tough

That the 12.9″ iPad Pro looks good isn’t being argued. But that it is prone to the wear and tear of daily use shouldn’t be ignored either. That’s why a case must do more than just provide some surface protection. Urban Armor Gear’s iPad Pro 12.9″ Metropolis Case takes that into account and so does a lot more than just that.

The iPad Pro 12.9″ Metropolis Case fits snugly around the iPad Pro because of a design that incorporates both a soft core and an impact resistant outer shell. What this means in real-world terms is that any violent confrontation occurring (for example, falling and striking the ground) has a hard protection as the first layer of defense, wit the ensuing shock then being disappeared throughout. Of course it’s also a necessity that the case meets military drop-test standards. So it does. But the addition of a tactile grip helps to keep it from slipping out of the hand in the first place.

In addition, the case has to allow the device it’s protecting (in this case, the iPad Pro) to be used as easily as if there was nothing there. Otherwise it’s more than likely that the user will take the device out of the case, obviating the whole purpose for having a case in the first place. And you just know that’s when the unexpected will happen. But the Pad Pro 12.9″ Metropolis Case doesn’t inhibit use of any of the functionality, be that buttons to press, ports to access or the touchscreen to tap at. There ARE some niceties added however: the back features an adjustable and detachable stand for propping up the iPad Pro when desired, and an integral holder keeps the Apple Pencil safely at hand.

The iPad Pro 12.9″ Metropolis Case retails for $89.95 and is made for 1/st/2nd generation models. It comes in assorted colors, for example, Cobalt. But good looks aside, that it protects the iPad Pro so well should be considered its main selling point .
