I am a freelance writer. I get paid writing. Have been for over 5 years now. I write for a few sites, mostly private clients and for myself. I love writing about my own passions and interests. I love making money with writing. Who doesn’t right?
The fact that you can get paid to write is awesome. But, there are not a whole lot of sites where you can build up residual income writing. There are a few out there and Daily Two Cents is one of them. I joined Daily Two Cents maybe over a year or two ago. At the time, it was paying per article views. Since then, they have changed their payment method which at first I wasn’t happy with, but now after really going through their model..I believe it is a win-win.
You get paid through Google Adsense – 75% of the time your ads are displayed, only 25% DTC ads are displayed. I think this is very fair. Hey, they have to make money too in order to pay their writers right? But, also what I think is incredibly generous of them is the fact that they allow you to put up to 2 (self-serving) links in your article body. This can be amazon affiliate links, blogs, other articles etc. So, not only do you get paid writing, but you also get to make money through affiliate marketing as well. Of course, you want to be sure you know how to make money as a freelance writer. There are a great deal of sources out there to show you how.
Obviously, your links have to be relevant to the content you are writing and not spammy. I write for other sites that don’t allow you to put self-serving links in your articles. So, I believe there will be a lot of potential here on Daily Two Cents once I get going with it. I’ve already made a payout with them and that was with only a few articles. Since there word count is only 200 minimum, I believe this will be a fairly easy site to write for.
Now, if you decide to join DTC, remember, that if you want to make the most of it…you have to write quality content and have your readers in mind….not yourself. Although the word count is fairly low here, that doesn’t mean you can’t provide value.
