Not only is Green tea good to drink, but it’s also good to use on those spa day.
I’m getting a few things together because I’m planning a few spa day’s for my two nieces this summer.
I’m going to have them help me with the creations that we will be using for these days.
I have different recipes for the summer. So far I have a Green Tea spa day and a Ice Cream spa day planned.
Green tea contains polyphenols that possess some antibacterial properties that are good for the skin.
It also has antioxidants known as catechins which are good for soothing and hydrate your skin.
Here’s a few of my favourite recipes.
Green Tea and Peppermint toner
In a pan boil together 1 cup of water with 2 green tea bags.
After they steep, remove the bags and add to the tea 2 drops of peppermint essential oils.
Pour the water into a spray bottle when it’s cooled down and place it in the fridge.
This will keep for a week. When your hot during the summer and you need a quick pep up, spritz your face with the water
and you’ll begin to feel a bit better.
Green tea yogurt mask
Combine together 2 tbsp. of matcha green tea powder with 2 tbsp. of plain yogurt and 2 tsp of honey.
Smooth this on a freshly cleaned face and sit back with a book and relax for 15 minutes.
Rinse the mask off with warm water. Do this once a week.
