Hair care tips for men to prevent hair thinning and hair loss

It’s not just the women who are conscious about their hair, men too are possessive about their hair. A head full of hair adds to the overall look and personality of men. Men who have thick, soft, healthy hair feel confident. On the contrary, men who experience thinning hair and hair loss often complain of loss of confidence and self-esteem.

Proper care and maintenance is vital for ensuring good health of men’s hair. No matter whether you have short hair, long, or something in-between or whether you wear your hair parted and combed to the side, or spiked up, it is important to follow proper hair care routine.

Use men’s shampoos for cleaning your hair. There are dozens of brands in the market. It is advisable to choose one that contains natural ingredients. Avoid using shampoos that have harsh chemicals as it can cause irritation to the scalp and may trigger dandruff and other hair problems. Shampoo your hair twice a week or alternatively, depending on your hair type and your individual lifestyle.
If you have dandruff, use a special dandruff shampoo. Use dandruff shampoo 2-3 times a week for a month. If flakiness still persists, you may need to consult your doctor. He would be able to suggest you the right dandruff shampoo.

Condition your hair. Conditioners add extra body and strength to hair. If you have straight hair or very short hair, you can use a combination shampoo/conditioner. But if you have curly, long hair, you may need to use a separate conditioner.

If you are experiencing thinning hair or bald spots, you must take extra care of yourself when going out in the sun. Exposure to the harmful rays of the sun can cause premature aging of the skin and can also increase your risk of skin cancer. Choose a sunscreen with SPF 30 if you have distinct bald spots. Put the lotion on your head. You can also use hairspray or styling gel with built-in SPF protection.

To add body and shape to your hair, use styling gel. There are innumerable styling gels and waxes available in the market. If you have dry scalp and dandruff, look for a styling gel without alcohol as alcohol can increase tenderness. Whichever product you choose, use the product sparingly especially if you have thinning hair.

Hit the gym and exercise. Exercise improves blood supply to the scalp, muscles, and hair which helps stimulate hair growth. If you don’t have the time to go to the gym, do simple exercises like walking, running, jogging, and swimming. Stay active to enjoy healthy body and hair.
Be sure you are eating balanced diet. Include the essential nutrients in your diet, such as protein, iron, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, and biotin to keep your hair healthy.

Take Procerin tablets. Procerin hair supplement tablets offer excellent hair solution to men who are experiencing hair thinning problem. You can also use Procerin foam and scalp therapy shampoo to improve hair health.
