Halloween Tortilla Chips

Halloween Tortilla Chips
Halloween is the time for sweet treats galore and you'll have plenty of candy on hand. But if you decide to have an impromptu Halloween get together, or you're invited to a party, these Halloween Tortilla Chips are easy, inexpensive and quick to prepare. There is no mixing, measuring, slicing, dicing or rolling. You can even get the kids involved. Serve them with your favorite salsa and dip.I made these chips using flour tortillas because they're easier to cut than corn tortillas, and I made them plain with no spices. But, you can brush or spray them with olive oil then sprinkle garlic powder, cayenne or black pepper on them before baking.

Ingredients
  1. Large flour tortillas. I use flour tortillas because they're easy to cut with a cookie cutter
  2. Olive oil
  3. Paprika (for color)
Instructions
  1. Start with a large flour tortilla
  2. Position your cookie cutters so that you get as many chips as you can from one tortilla
  3. Remove cookie cutters
  4. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle gently with paprika
  5. Lift out the cutout shapes
  6. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees until lightly browned. About 8 minutes.
Notes
  1. Serve with your favorite dip and salsa!
  2. Don't throw away the scraps, you can bake them and use them on chili or in soup!
