If you haven’t signed up with HubPages, do it right now. This is not only one of the most well-known writing sites for residual income, but it is also a reputable and well-structured one built on great content. My journey with HubPages so far has been short, but every step that I’ve taken has been a learning experience–and that’s saying a lot after years of having worked and written online.
The first thing you need to do on HubPages, in order to start earning revenue, is to set up your Google AdSense account. This is one of the key ways in which you will earn through HubPages’ Earning Program. Yet, there is no need to stress about what may otherwise seem like a daunting challenge. The site makes it relatively easy to set up your Google AdSense account. Indeed, it has links to all of its earning platforms directly on your account page, making it simple for you to become part of an essential online earning program. I remember once being scared to death of the words ‘Google AdSense’ and the likelihood of being rejected, but HubPages’ reputation and easy-to-navigate website truly makes the challenge an effortless one.
Moreover, HubPages helps you set up your Google Analytics account in order to keep track of your pageviews and to access detailed reports about the performance of your online writing. And one of the most interesting things that I’ve found about HubPages is that you can–with the same effort that it takes for the above two platforms–open up Amazon and eBay affiliate accounts, which you can then use to include affiliate links in your articles. The image below is a small sample of the useful information that can be found on HubPages’ FAQ section.
Making the Objective Clear
The purpose of this article is not to break down exactly how to write a ‘Hub’ or to navigate HubPages, but rather to outline the learning benefits that can come with opening a writer’s account on HubPages. Beyond the steps that you’ll take to sign up with the multiple earning programs, the knowledge that you get when you look at the prerequisites for writing a great hub really help you understand what attracts users and how to make your content search engine friendly. Indeed, a sight like this is not just useful for beginners but also for people who have been writing for a long time. HubPages gives you access to structure, and to a structure that they have put research into; into its effectiveness and into determining the most successful approach.
I know it’s hard to start over with a new writing site, but the gains in the long-term engulf the few challenges at the beginning. So, I can’t encourage you enough. Sign up, take a look around, and see what goes into making a Hub. Expand your basket of online writing sites, expand your knowledge of how to make more online revenue, and expand your knowledge of how to write better content.
