So, this is going to be a little personal blog series I’ll be posting on Daily Two Cents once a day for the next 70 days. I do appreciate anyone who takes an interest in reading it, but it is definitely more for me than for anyone else. It is a way for me to keep track and keep motivated, if you will.
My family is ready to move out of the apartments that we are currently living in. Every time we turn around it feels like something else breaks or something else is infested with mold. We just don’t want to live here anymore. Moving, unfortunately, is expensive.
I did a little math and decided that $5,500 was a safe number to have all of our bills covered for the duration of our stay here and have a cushion of funds to move. Now, that seems like a lot of money. The upside is I have about 70 days to pull it together. I did a little more math and decided that $75-$100 is what I needed to make every day for the next 70 days.
My first official “day” will start tomorrow, but I wanted to work on getting my butt in gear today. I’ll be posting once a day on here about my progress (in the off chance that anyone is interested in following). But, it is more just a way for me to keep track of my progress. It’ll keep me from slipping and it’ll tell me when I need to pick up the pace.
I applied for a handful of gigs on Sunday and plan on applying for a few more (if I can find anything decent today). I do have a surplus of work lined up, but it never hurts to have a little more under my belt.
