forest-549664_640A new movie, written and directed by Daniel Simpson (Director of H and Spiderhole) tells the story of the 1980 Rendlesham Forest UFO incident, sometimes also referred to as the Bentwaters incident.

The Rendlesham Forest incident is the UK’s most well known and most well documented UFO incident and the government documents relating to the incident have now been declassified, although it has been admitted by the personnel involved that the incident was intentionally downplayed on official records.

The new movie took four years to film and depicts the story of the RAF Bentwaters military base being visited by a mysterious UFO over three consecutive nights. According to former head of the UK’s UFO desk, spokesman for the MoD  (Ministry of Defense) and the UK’s foremost UFO advocate, Nick Pope, the Rendlesham Forest incident is the most significant UFO encounter in the UK’s archives.

According to Director of the movie, Daniel Simpson:

“I’ve looked into it endlessly and I’ve looked into the faces and eyes of people telling the story and i just have to believe them, that’s what you have to go on. I believe something happened that we will never know what it was, but I believe people do know”

Two of the military personnel involved in the incident testified recently in front of six former members of US Congress at the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure. Both of them had confirmed that they had received threats about testifying at the hearing, even though over 30 years had passed since the encounter.

It was also established at the Citizens Hearing that John Burroughs and Jim Penniston were unable to attain their medical records from the US Air Force after suffering health consequences as a result of the incident, despite multiple Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests. However, Merrill Cook arranged for a letter to be prepared for the Department of Veteran Affairs and eventually the medical records were obtained.

The movie, entitled Rendlesham UFO Incident, was released in early 2015 in the UK and is scheduled for release in some countries later in the year under the title Hangar 10.
