A Moment in Time
April 14, 2016

She is lost in a moment in time
Drifting back to that starry night
When they strolled hand in hand
Down deserted moonlit Broadway

The cool nightly breeze, so refreshing
Embraced them with its gentle caress
And the chirping of the unseen birds
Filled the silent streets with music

They were lost in their own world
Chatting away about their lives
And their hopes for the future
As time seemed to stand still

Suddenly Broadway hit a dead end
And the ferry terminal appeared
With its bright purple sign
And the full moon overhead

It was time for them to part
Their final moment together
Sealed with the sweetest kiss
And the warmest embrace

It was time to say good-bye
But would it be for the moment
Or would it be their last encounter
Their first and final good-bye

Their paths never crossed again
But the memory of that night
Lives on in her heart forever
And always brings them together

She hopes that her love, wherever he may be
Also finds himself lost in a moment in time
Drifting back to that starry night
And their unforgettable stroll down moonlit Broadway
