Her Life Is a Nightmare
May 27, 2016

She’s speeding, running for her life
Her body like an endless drought
Her vision blurry from the heat
Emotions raging up and down

The ground crumbling beneath her
A storm is brewing deep within
And in that moment hope is falling
Her heavy head begins to spin

She finds herself inside a nightmare
And one that never seems to end
Will she be able to survive it
Or will she drown in this land

Things are uncertain but she knows
That she will not give up this fight
With every ounce of her being
She’ll force herself to make things right

I find this to be a very moving piece. Writing it brought forth a great deal of emotion. In my opinion, there is definitely depth to this poem and there is much to read between the lines.

I think one very important thing to remember in life is to never give up because when you give up you prevent yourself from succeeding and accomplishing everything that you want to achieve in your life.

This emotional poem was written from the following word list: running, crumbling, ground, moment, hope, vision, drought, down.
