Raghav left for office and I was alone in the house as Rajesh too went to the market.
I felt happy that Rajesh wasn’t there at home else he used to keep stopping me from doing my work but at the same time the house looked creepy and even though I was alone, I felt someone’s presence near me.
I couldn’t imagine that a house that I was praising the previous day appeared awful to me. I just could not get the thing out of my mind that this house has witnessed so many deaths.
I started feeling chocked and so took a bottle of water from the refrigerator and drank it to calm myself and quench my thirst.
I took a newspaper and started reading it. The first few headlines started giving me a headache as it dealt with the crime in my country. I rushed through the pages and stopped as my pain started increasing.
Flashes of the blood stains on the ground, the shadow I had seen in the night and Rajesh’s words “Don’t leave your n the night” started haunting me.
