He is already seen as the best golfer in the world and rightly so, but not even Rory McIlroy could have predicted that his tee-shot from the 14th at the Fedex Cup would be so unusual. He got to the 14th tee of his tour Championship second round match being played out in in Atlanta and mis-hit his drive. The disappointed Rory was astonished to find, however, that his wayward tee shot had bounced off a tree into the pocket of a bemused spectator in a genuinely rare freak accident. .
This drive at the 442yd par four caused quite a few raised eyebrows and not a little chuckling in the crowd and the hapless Rory was not y penalized. He actually carried on to make par at that hole, currently leading at six under par in total and on course for the first time in his professional golfing career to win this Fedex Cup .
I have been writing for pleasure for half a century, but only started writing for money around 1994. Since then I have had a few thousand articles, stories and poems published on line and in print all round the world.I am now 63 years old, male, from Burnley in the UK, and apart from writing, I love to read - mainly crime thrillers, conspiracy theory books and science fiction, though I also love films, gardening and chatting with my wife who is also my best friend.I enjoy feedback from readers, and interaction with fellow writers. Anyone who gets in touch with me will get a reply. I am always happy to read and comment upon the work of others, as I think we writers are something of a definite sub-species of humanity!https://plus.google.com/116568348046544845824/postshttps://twitter.com/tonyleatherhttps://www.facebook.com/tonyh.leather
