Have you ever experienced one of those moments when you ask yourself “why me”? It could happen in the produce department of the supermarket while you’re selecting tomatoes, you only need one or two tomatoes but you want the right ones. Then someone comes along, stands 6 inches away and reaches their arm across you to get a tomato. It’s everywhere, at the ATM, any drive-thru, the car wash and, well you know what I’m talking about.
My most recent “why me” moment was at the gas station. I got there early in the morning so I wouldn’t have to wait in line. The place was practically deserted, only two cars pumping. Great. I pulled up to a pump, got out of my car and that’s when a van pulled up behind me. I hadn’t yet swiped my card but there he was right behind me…waiting.
I thought when he realized there were 6 available pumps he would go to one of them. (he was not talking on a phone or texting and there was no one in the van with him). But there he was, waiting for me to pump gas, wash the windows and complete my transaction. Why me???
I'm living in the middle of nowhere in the Arizona desert and loving it. I have a few blogs and I do a little writing on other websites, all for pleasure. Mostly I enjoy watching and photographing the animals and birds that wander into the yard.
