World Vision is an organization dedicated to the assistance and rescue of young children in bad to horrific situations. Right now World Vision’s focus is on Nepal but they are always there whenever disaster strikes in any country. I sponsored young children through this organization for years until my husband got ill and was unable to work a years ago. However, as things are getting slightly better at home, plans are on to sponsor once again. Why do I gravitate to World Vision? It’s a matter of trust.
Over the years, this Evangelical Christian humanitarian organization has proven its honesty, integrity and strength of purpose. Starting up as long ago as in the 50s, it has grown and included child sponsorship in many countries, giving crucial aid and helping in many appalling situations over the years.
World Vision-a vision for children- began as only one man’s vision- Reverend Bob Pierce while visiting China. He began with helping just one child then and in three years his first child sponsorship program began after the Korean War.
It grew over the decades until today, where World Vision is one of the leading humanitarian organizations. They implement and manage programmes of community development and emergency relief as well as child education, etc.in over 100 countries. Because World Vision has such a proven track record and because of my own dealings with them through
years of sponsorship, I trust World Vision to do exactly what they promise. And that is to help children all over the world.
