In a few hours, WWE fans will be tuning into Fastlane to see who will be the new contender going to Wrestlemania.
The triple threat match has Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar. There’s been some teasing along that way that anyone of these men could be crowned the winner and as any wrestling fan will tell you, WWE is unpredictable when it comes to the outcomes of the matches.
Let’s take a look at the contenders and the odds of them winning.
Brock Lesnar: Last week on Smackdown, Brock laid out Reigns and the Ambrose in the ring, and at the end of the show he had a showdown with Triple H. The two have faced off in the past and have their share of issues, yet I don’t think we’ll be seeing Brock face off with Triple H for the title. They’ve been in countless matches before and fans don’t want to see a repeat on the grandest stage of them all.
Dean Ambrose: He was the last man standing in the Royal Rumble and gave Triple H a fight for the WWE championship. The WWE has been building him up lately, leading many to believe that he’ll be getting another championship shot. Ambrose is one of the most popular stars on the roster and if he were to go to Wrestlemania, the reaction would be huge.
Roman Reigns: He’s one of the top babyfaces on the roster and the company seems headstrong in pushing him to be their next superstar. Reigns drew excitement from the crowd when he captured the championship back in December, however the excitement seems to have waned. WWE has been portraying him as an underdog as he battles with The Authority, yet the storyline seems to have backfired. If WWE has Reigns win at Fastlane and go on to Wrestlemania to get the championship, they should expect plenty of back lash from fans.
So who’s going to be getting their main event moment at Wrestlemania?
In my opinion, it’s a toss up between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, yet I’m leaning more towards Reigns since WWE is adamant about giving him his Wrestlemania moment. Reigns is going to go on to face Triple H and as for Ambrose, I see him and Brock continuing their feud after Fastlane and having a match at Wrestlemania.
